Wow, what a day yesterday. The marlin were thick yesterday-they just kept coming in the baits. I think we saw 11 whites and one blue and finally called it a day. They were close too, only 28 miles from the inlet when we picked up. We have plenty of open days in September-give us a call if you want some of this action! 252-473-1964
We had a tough Pirate's Cove tournament on "The Hooker" this year. We saw serveral fish on the first day of fishing but managed to only catch and release one white marlin. The next day was very slow for us-only saw one fish and we missed him. On the third and final day of fishing for us we had a heartbreaker. We hooked up with the biggest blue marlin I've seen in a long time. She was at least 700 pounds and probably bigger than that. We fought her for about 1 1/2 hours and then the leader broke. I'm still depressed-but I'm getting better. Getting back out there and releasing about 6 or 7 whites a day will cheer me up in a hurry-give me a call if you want to go.
