Fishing has slowed down a little bit for us. The ocean is full of tunas but they just don't want to bite. Most days we have had some gaffers as well as a few tuna. Yesterday (wednesday), we got lucky and had a great day. A box full of dolphin and 5 tuna. The marlin bite off of Hatteras right now is red hot-they need to swim this way!
We had a couple of days last week that slowed down a little bit and then we missed two days because of the wind but overall the tuna and dolphin fishing is still really good. Down south out of Hatteras the marlin are making a good showing-I wish they would come up here a little bit. I'm ready to go swinging for them!
The weekend once again provided good fishing but boy was it rough on Sunday. Saturday wasn't bad and we had a box full of tunas-nice ones too-lots of 65 pounders! Sunday was as rough as I want to see it-I was glad to get back to the dock in one piece. However fishing was good and that makes it worthwile-I also had a pretty salty crew that could take it.
I know I am sounding like a broken record but the fishing continues to be great. Lots of tuna and dolphin. Just about every day the box is full. I haven't seen fishing this good for this long in quite a while.
