Unbelievable fishing

I can't remember when fishing has been this good. Big fat tunas and nice gaffer dolphin-and all you want of both. The weather has been perfect-not too hot, not too cold and the wind hasn't been blowing. It just couldn't be better right now. My next open day is June 24th and then June 26th, 27th and 28th. Give me a call at 252-473-1964 or email me at tom@fishthehooker.com if you want to go.

Lots of Meat!

Fishing has continued to be really, really good with the exception of last Friday. It's amazing how things can change from day to day. Thursday we caught a limit of tuna and then on Friday we got skunked-0-not even a nock down. Then Saturday it changed around again and the tuna were thick. Sunday was probably the prettiest catch of dolphin I've ever had-really nice fish and then today was lots of dophin and tuna. The tunas were 50 pounders and the dolphin around 25 pounders-I hope this keeps up-this is fun!

Marlin

Yesterday was a little different for us-we caught our first marlin of the year! We released about a 450 pound blue-a really nice fish. We also caught a sailfish and about 20 gaffers. Fishing has been really good lately-I hope it keeps up. We're off today but will be back out there tomorrow. I might go catch a trout this morning.

Dolphin!

Sunday was great dolphin fishing. We loaded up with all gaffers up to 25 pounds. A really pretty day on the water with great fishing to go along with it.

Great day of fishing

Tuesday was another good day with a box full of tunas and gaffer dolphin. We only had the dolphin and just a couple of tunas until right at the end when the tunas slammed us twice and we were loaded up!

Great fishing today!

Didn't know if we would make it out today (Monday) or not but the other boats were going so we went too. It was pretty rough but our party was rewarded with a box full of tuna and dolphin! We didn't have a fish at 11:00 but then it went off and by 1:30 we were done and headed back in. The party today did a great job toughing it out in pretty awful conditions-Maybe next time it won't be so rough for them.

wind, wind and more wind

I am tired of the wind blowing! Last week it blew over 50 out of the Northeast for over 2 days and then yesterday it blew about 30. We did make it out Saturday and caught about 20 gaffers and a wahoo. I'm not sure where all the tuna went but they'll be back. I've been on land too much this spring-the weather needs to start cooperating with us. Maybe we'll get a good stretch coming up-I hope so.
